The Sports Alliance, established in 2003, is a committee under the Abilene Convention & Visitors Bureau, an affiliate of the Chamber of Commerce.

The Alliance is comprised of five committees:

         Volunteers    

         Fund Raising    

         Scholarship

        Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations

        Facilities

Our goals are:

        To increase participation of existing events

        Establish new sporting events and tournaments

        Offer scholarships to local athletes

        Select enthusiastic local contacts for each sport

        Identify committees to help these efforts
