Experience the big picture of the Texas frontier between 1780-1880. The story comes to life in this new, multi-media facility and is told by historical figures. You’ll feel the terror of a wolf attack, the chaos of a buffalo stampede and the tension of a deadly card game shootout in the Beehive Saloon.
Option 2: Dyess Air Force Base
Learn about base history and present day operations. [Requires advance approval of all participants] Dyess Air Force Base’s Linear Air Park features 33-planes from WWII, the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts and Operation Desert Storm. With advance planning, the Convention Bureau can also arrange a flight-line tour of the B-1 bomber or C-130 cargo plane.

Arrive at the Perini Ranch Steakhouse. Enjoy mesquite smoked steaks and chicken or try the fried catfish served with home cooked vegetables. Tom Perini’s famous whiskey bread pudding rounds out your meal. Choose between dining inside the rustic restaurant or outside under-the-stars with service at your table, buffet style or from a chuck wagon. When you're ready, head back to the hotel!
