Our Mission: The Grace Museum builds multifaceted connections through new experiences in American fine art and history within the evolving Texas story through exhibitions, programs, and collections. The Grace Museum serves as a cultural hub for Abilene and West Texas – a place for all ages to explore art, history, and creativity. Housed in the former Hotel Grace built in 1909, this fully-renovated museum showcases a vibrant blend of contemporary and historic spaces and rotating exhibitions. Since its debut in 1992, The Grace has been a cornerstone to Abilene’s downtown revival as a welcoming center for the arts.
The Grace Museum is nationally accredited with the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) and conforms to the highest operational and professional standards. An average of 15 fine art, photography, and history exhibitions are curated in-house and displayed for public viewing each year. Educational programs and special events are offered year-round for children, adults, and families that explore the themes of each exhibition.
